Christian Anstey Beyond convention

My work challenges the conventional ideas of traditional painting styles. The aesthetics of my four-dimensional artwork, utilising the dimension of time, help to broaden one’s concept of painting as a whole. Why is it that a painting has to be one still image? My work Beyond convention goes to show that the world of painting is limitless. This work is in a sense a series of thousands of consecutive paintings all shown one after another. My artmaking process was aimed at creating something out of the ordinary; fun, exciting and ultimately a new look for painting in the art world.
